It seems only yesterday that Americans, or those interested in their civil liberties, were shocked that the Bush regime so flagrantly violated the FlSA law against spying on American citizens without a warrant. A federal judge serving on the FISA court even resigned in protest to the illegality of the spying.

August 27, 2010 - The elections of 2008 (and the early elections of 2010) produced two significant phenomena: the “Ron Paul Revolution,” and the “Tea Party Movement.” And, mark it down: both of them will have profound effects upon the upcoming November elections–and upon the 2012 elections as well. Call them what you want, however, America doesn’t need another movement; it needs a genuine revolution.

According to one report, the Gulf of Mexico oil gusher has been capped; other reports suggest the environmental disaster is far from done. One report says that we are currently enjoying an economic recovery; another says the Depression has only just started and there is much more financial devastation coming. According to some experts, fluoride prevents tooth decay; others say fluoride hurts your teeth. It continues endlessly.

I believe we are engaged in an ongoing war on freedom, in which what is at stake is nothing less than each individual’s rights to self-determination, life, liberty, and property.

In a war, it is essential to success to accurately evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of your adversaries.  I have found that where the government is concerned, its weaknesses and strengths are both represented by its mindless bureaucracy.

NEW YORK - July 2, 2010 - The day when you’ll be able to hold up your phone and identify a stranger through a viewfinder is getting closer.

Google’s Goggles, a mobile app for visual search, has a facial recognition version unreleased to the public, while Israeli startup Face.com’s technology can tag people’s faces in Facebook photos. Facebook even released a basic version of face detection last night, although it doesn’t have recognition.

So in a world where technology chips away at our ability to remain anonymous, how does one reclaim some semblance of control?

These are the words of Harold W. Rosenthal, former administrative assistant to New York Senator Jacob Javits. Rosenthal has made other odious comments regarding his general contempt for the American people. Regardless of whether you think his opinions to be true or false, he was a man of some influence and dubious prestige.

Rosenthal’s statement is enough to turn my stomach and make the hair stand up on the back of my neck.  Nevertheless, he accurately described that the American people have been controlled and manipulated.  He branded us as “unthinking” and condemned us to remain that way forever.

LONDON, England - June 8, 2010 - The "invisibility cloaks" being made in labs today can hide objects when viewed from a wide range of directions and in visible light - both considered implausible developments when the first working invisibility cloak was demonstrated just four years ago.
