Commentary: A Libertarian critique of birthright citizenship

October 30, 2018 - One vexing current problem centers on who becomes the citizen of a given country, since citizenship confers voting rights.

The Anglo-American model, in which every baby born in the country's land area automatically becomes a citizen, clearly invites welfare immigration by expectant parents. In the Fascist Police States of Amerika, for example, a current problem is illegal immigrants whose babies, if born on Amerikan soil, automatically become citizens and therefore entitle themselves and their parents to permanent welfare payments and free medical care.

Commentary: Liberty is still popular

October 29, 2018 - Listening to the media, one would be forgiven for thinking that the "Libertarian Moment" has passed. After all, few candidates are running on a platform of limited government, individual liberty, and a non-interventionist foreign policy. Instead, both major political Parties push expansion of government power, whether nationalized health care, increased surveillance, or tariffs; and for all the partisan invective coming out of D.C., both Parties are more than willing to work together to increase spending and debt.

Commentary: If we ignore government, will it go away?

October 25, 2018 - You know how children will try to annoy you to get attention? The more you react, the worse they get.

If you acknowledge that they have the power to annoy you, they become little tyrants. Their parents would probably see it as an overreaction to rip their fingers off the next time they poke you.

There’s really nothing you can do to stop them from poking you and still come out of the situation with your dignity. To physically force them to stop would be a massive overreaction. To tell them to stop, poke them back, or appear annoyed will only encourage them further.

You just have to ride it out. They’ll eventually get bored, much quicker than you could be rid of the little brat by engaging.

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama (PNN) - October 29, 2018 - An armed father saved the day when he stopped what could have been a mass shooting inside an Alabama McDonald’s on Saturday.

The unidentified father was leaving the popular fast food chain when a masked man walked in the restaurant behind him and started shooting.

The father immediately pulled out his own weapon and returned fire at the suspect, and became the shooter’s own target. The father and his son sustained injuries, while the gunman died from his wounds during the incident.

How to deal with gangs, mobs and looters

Submitted by Freedomman on Wed, 10/31/2018 - 17:43

October 29, 2018 - Violent gangs, mobs, rioters, and looters do not abide by the rule of law and do not fear the consequences of their actions. They only care about getting what they want. If SHTF, gangs believe there will be no lawful repercussions for their actions. When a natural disaster occurs in a city, looting becomes a widespread problem. When people go hungry, their animalistic instincts kick in and their morals dissipate. When everything goes awry in your area, crime will inevitably increase. Do you have a plan to address a mob, gang, or looter?

Commentary: Was this tattle-tale culture encouraged by public schools?

October 22, 2018 - The band Bowling for Soup has a song called High School Never Ends.

In it, the singer complains that he thought all the terrible things about high school would end once he graduated.

Unfortunately, he discovers…

The whole damned world is just as obsessed
With who’s the best dressed and who’s having sex
Who’s got the money, who gets the honeys
Who’s kinda cute and who’s just a mess

And you still don’t have the right look
And you don’t have the right friends
Nothing changes but the faces, the names and the trends
High school never ends

Commentary: From soft tyranny to totalitarian rule: Amerika’s unrelenting data collection

Submitted by Freedomman on Wed, 10/31/2018 - 17:25

By Jeremiah Johnson

October 21, 2018 - We have almost reached the point where the Fascist Police States of Amerika can be referred to as totalitarian. Incrementally, it creeps forward: the “soft” tyranny. Curing, refining itself, and hardening, there will be a point of no return that is reached… a point where it has metastasized until it is both all encompassing and ubiquitous.

Commentary: Will there ever be a freedom loving majority? Do we even need one?

October 24, 2018 - The good old days never existed.

People like to romanticize a time when Amerika was more wholesome; when everyone got along and put petty differences aside to fight wars and such.

A time when political campaigns were more civil, like in the presidential election of 1800.

No charges for grandpa who shot a cop on his property to protect his grandchildren

OWENSBORO, Kentucky (PNN) - October 11, 2018 - Time and again, terrorist pig thug cops will enter the home of an innocent person and kill him or her. As is the case most of the time, the terrorist pig thug cops aren’t charged despite gross negligence leading up to the innocent homeowner’s death. Or, if the homeowner does successfully defend himself, he is often charged. In rare instances, however, homeowners defend themselves against the terrorist pig thug cops who come onto their property with no warrant - or mistakenly - and they are deemed justified in doing so.
