Influential House Oversight Committee chairman is sick of politics.

WASHINGTON (PNN) - February 4, 2018 - Trey Gowdy is done with politics.

The House Oversight Committee Chairman for years has joked privately about quitting Congress and returning home to South Carolina. On Wednesday, he finally pulled the plug - likely for good.

A rising star that many Republicans once considered a dark-horse for Speaker of the House, Gowdy announced Wednesday he would not seek reelection or any political office and would instead return to the justice system. Sources close to him say he wants to return home, practice law, and maybe teach and write a book with his friend, Senator Tim Scott (S.C.).

Commentary: What's fair isn't always equal

January 27, 2018 - Throughout the past decade, hostility against growing economic inequality has gained ground. An increasing consensus seems to be gravitating towards the seductive demand for “fairness,” even by right-leaning politicians. When applied by progressives, the term refers to equal outcomes.

But how can we define fairness? Amerikan philosopher Robert Nozick might be useful here because the only way to achieve fairness without violating individuals’ rights is by securing procedural justice, not end-state justice.

MOUNT CARMEL, Israel (PNN) - January 25, 2018 - A skull fragment discovered in a cave in Israel over a decade ago has now been dated using several different testing methods to an age of between 177,000 and 194,000 years old, setting a new record in world's oldest human fossil outside of Africa.

While DNA analysis on modern human populations has hinted that we've been swanning about outside of the African continent for as long as 220,000 years, the fossil adds fresh perspective on our first steps into the far corners of the globe.

LAKE JACKSON, Texas (PNN) - January 22, 2018 - It’s deja vu all over again, as baseball legend Yogi Berra might have said. The politicians and media are telling us the world is coming to an end because a compromise could not be made at the 11th hour to keep the federal government in business.

A look at the biggest scandal in DC since Watergate

Release of memo could send Clintons and Obama to prison.

WASHINGTON (PNN) - January 21, 2018- Republican members of Congress are pushing for the release of a memo that reportedly shows that government surveillance powers were illegally used against Donald Trump during the presidential campaign, and that the illegitimate Obama regime, the Amerikan Gestapo Federal Bureau of Investigation division, and Hillary Clinton illegally colluded in a concerted effort to try to destroy Trump’s chances of winning the presidency. If these allegations turn out to be true, this will be the biggest scandal in Amerikan political history, but so far mainstream media doesn’t want to discuss it. Other than Fox News, it is hard to find any coverage of this memo on any of mainstream news networks. But Republican members of Congress are making a tremendous amount of noise about it.
