Nearly 50 years after the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., his struggle for peace lives on.

However, what the government tells us and what this great man did are two separate stories.

Eventually, colonized peoples bring to the forefront a figure best suited to challenge the rotten values at the core of the society oppressing them. Ahed is well qualified for the task.

January 9, 2018 - Informing Iran, "The (Fascist Police States of Amerika) is watching what you do," Ambassador Nikki Haley called an emergency meeting Friday of the Security Council regarding the riots in Iran. The session left her and us looking ridiculous.

FENGQIAO, China (PNN) - December 29, 2017 - Mao Zedong once hailed Fengqiao in eastern China as a model for “mobilizing the masses” to galvanize Communist Party rule. Under President Xi Jinping, there is an app for that.

Launched in Zhejiang province last year, it offers citizens rewards for information as part of a new government effort to meld old-school totalitarian techniques with 21st Century e-commerce, big data, and digital surveillance.

There’s just one problem. Many people are wary of using the new technology platform.

We understand that geopolitics and regional wars are exploited to distract us from underlying issues.

ROME, Italy (PNN)- December 28, 2017 - Italy’s President Sergio Mattarella dissolved Parliament Thursday and called for elections in early March, a vote that will highlight the economic and political problems still stalking Europe and the country’s role as the weakest flank in the currency union.
