Social media alternatives: Steemit and DTube

In this inaugural edition of the Social Media Alternatives series we talk to Dan Dicks of Press For Truth about how Steemit and DTube are helping independent media fund their journalism in this age of GooTube demonetization, Facebook censorship and Twitter shadowbans.

A New Paradigm

Submitted by Freedomman on Wed, 03/03/2010 - 20:23

We need a change.

I do not mean a political change. I do not mean that we need a new President or Prime Minister or that the current United States and British regimes need to be replaced (even though they do). I do not mean that there needs to be a change in the political leanings of the House or Senate or Parliament.

I also do not mean that there needs to be a change in the political nature of any given society, including among others, the United States and Britain.

No, the kind of change to which I am referring is foundational and systemic, and will affect the entire social structure of the modern world. I believe that a change must be made in the foundational structure of society, if future generations and we are to survive, and it must be made now!

The Sovereign Character

Submitted by Freedomman on Tue, 02/16/2010 - 18:38

If you knew… really knew… with every fiber of your essence… that you were king or queen… that you were royalty, literally and in the truest sense of the word… if you knew this without any room for doubt... would you behave any differently when dealing with your public servants? Brent Johnson

Recently, a listener commented to me that he finally realized what it means to be sovereign. He correctly explained that sovereignty is a statement of character. A sovereign carries himself differently, with an air of power and authority about him (or her), so that all the world can see by his demeanor that he is special, he is majestic.

South Carolina Subversive Activities Registration Act

This is a terrifying piece of trash legislation. It reminds me of the 1792 Aliens and Sedition Act, which thankfully were repealed immediately after Thomas Jefferson became president. A free society does not pass laws against certain kinds of thoughts. Only a tyranny or would-be tyranny passes such laws. The Declaration of Independence established for all time that the people have the absolute right to alter or abolish their forms of government when those governments fail to protect their unalienable rights. Overthrow of government is fundamental to our Republic.

Denial ….It Ain’t a River

Denial!  I know about denial. And it is NOT a river in Egypt!!  We all know denial, but few recognize that he or she uses it as a form of protection that maintains The Lie.  “What lie?”, you may ask.  “Any lie.” I respond.  Denial is obfuscation of the facts at hand, aka, a lie.

Billboard warns to prepare for war against government!

ST. LOUIS. Missouri - November 20, 2009 - A new billboard off of Interstate 70 in Missouri provides a short “citizens guide to REVOLUTION of a corrupt government” and issues a call to “PREPARE FOR WAR.”

This billboard replaces one that warned that the socialist “Obama-Nation” is “coming for you.” It’s unclear who the owner of the billboard is, but the first one was the work of a “Missouri businessman.”

A Thinking Man’s Desert

Recently, I had occasion to view a segment of NBC’s The Tonight Show in which host Jay Leno walks around New York City asking ordinary people a series of simple and basic questions. I was stunned by the general lack of education of the respondents.

Governator signs new ammo restrictions

SACRAMENTO, California - October 21, 2009 - Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger today signed into law a bill that requires buyers of handgun ammunition to leave thumbprints and detailed personal information with registered ammo sellers, as well as put restrictions on online bullet sales. “Assembly Bill 962 reasonably regulates access to ammunition and improves public safety without placing undue burdens on consumers,” Schwarzenegger said in a letter explaining his decision.

Make your own eco-friendly dishwasher detergent

October 31, 2009 - Many people know that they can make homemade laundry detergent but not as many know about homemade dishwasher soap.

This formula will cut grease on your dishes. You will get a better result if you fill the rinse agent reservoir in your dishwasher with distilled white vinegar. It will leave your dishes grease free, shiny, and it isn’t at all hard on your vintage and antique items.

But the major benefit goes to your wallet. It cost less than a penny a load to make, or 50 loads of dishes for just 50 cents!

How to take back your country from martial law

Submitted by Freedomman on Tue, 09/29/2009 - 22:01

The following article was NOT written by Brent Johnson, Freedom Bound International, or The Voice of Freedom. It’s author is unknown. However, it contains many useful suggestions and recommendations and so we offer it to you with that in mind.

To be honest it's probably the most difficult challenge anyone can face. Because you're starting a conflict from scratch inside the belly of the beast. You can't fight for territory when you've only got a few guns against divisions of enemy troops equipped with automatic weapons, armor, air support, the pitiful acquiescence of a "people" who long ago gave up Liberty for the trap of existence in a childlike, cushy debt slavery. So the smart coup leaders that prosecute a martial law takeover will do it against a population that's already been pacified in one way or another. Now with the gilding stripped off their chains they're as frightened hostages willing to go along with ANYTHING the state orders, so long as they have some semblance of their former "lives". Aside from some disgruntled vets, the American People, untrained in the military arts or even basic survival, have been pacified, or the coup would never have taken place.

The Last Trench

Submitted by Freedomman on Wed, 08/26/2009 - 13:05

As they walked through the bodies strewn throughout the overrun trenches, one officer could not help but comment on the composition of the dead lying everywhere: "Old men with silver locks lay dead, side by side with mere boys of thirteen or fourteen. It almost makes one sorry to have to fight against people who show such devotion for their homes and their country."

Silver-haired men lay across the bodies of thirteen-year-old children piled in clumps or scattered individually where a last desperate stand had been made; the blood of both meeting in one final offering to freedom, liberty and homeland. In clumps they lay with bodies broken, mangled, and torn by shot, explosion, and hand-to-hand mortal combat, a last dying grimace of determination frozen forever on many of the faces; their blood now coagulating in clumps upon each other and on a ground that could absorb no more. These then were the defenders of the last trench.
