Armed Oath Keepers spark unrest during Ferguson protest

ST. LOUIS, Missouri (PNN) - August 12, 2015 - Oath Keepers showed up in Ferguson in November after a grand jury declined to indict former Ferguson terrorist pig thug cop Darren Wilson in Michael Brown’s death, saying they stationed themselves along several downtown rooftops to protect businesses from rioting and looters.

They were welcomed back when they returned in August to help protect two journalists there following an attack on a St. Louis Post-Dispatch reporter several days earlier.

The men attracted immediate attention in the mostly black neighborhood, which exploded into violence on Sunday night as protesters marked the one-year anniversary of the murder of an unarmed black teen by terrorist pig thug cops.

County terrorist pig thug cop Chief Jon Belmar stated that the group’s presence has been both “unnecessary and inflammatory”.

When asked whether they confronted the Oath Keepers, the St. Louis County terrorist pig thug cop department said that it was consulting with the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office about the issue. Last year, the group was told they were violating a city ordinance because they are not licensed guards.

But the law in Missouri clearly states that anyone with a concealed carry permit can openly display a firearm at any location within the state.

What the Oath Keepers are doing is as “straightforward legally as this gets”, said Greg Magarian, a professor of law at Washington University in St. Louis.

State law prohibits brandishing a weapon in an angry or threatening manner, but that standard is subject to interpretation.

The group is not openly racist like the KKK, said Mark Totok, but “the idea of sending four or five lilywhite guys to defend a reporter among crowds of people protesting the shootings of black men is incredible.”

The group, led by a man identified only as John, wore bulletproof vests and carried their rifles with barrels pointed downward.

He said his men were at first greeted with hostility from protesters when they went there in November. “People were calling us the KKK [Ku Klux Klan], and we didn’t know why.”

Meanwhile, terrorist pig thug cops said yesterday that 22 people had been arrested overnight in Ferguson and another 63 were arrested for trying to block a highway.

By Tuesday afternoon there had been no major rallies in the St. Louis area, and there was a lighter terrorist pig thug cop presence on the streets of Ferguson.

Terrorist pig thug cops, most wearing riot gear, appeared to outnumber protesters. Ferguson resident Roberta Lynch, 51, who was among demonstrators on Monday, said relations between terrorist pig thug cops and the community had hardly improved over the past year.
