June 6, 2014 - How many children, old people and law-abiding citizens have to be injured, terrorized or killed before we call a halt to the growing rash of police violence that is wracking the country? How many family pets have to be gunned down in cold blood by marauding SWAT teams before we declare such tactics off limits? How many communities have to be transformed into military outposts, complete with heavily armed police, military tanks, and “safety” checkpoints, before we draw that line in the sand that says “not in our town”?

New Hampshire anti-spying bill passes unanimously

CONCORD, New Hampshire (PNN) - June 4, 2014 - Today, the New Hampshire House and Senate gave final approval to a bill that bans government officials from obtaining “information contained in a portable electronic device” without a warrant “signed by a judge and based on probable cause.” It now goes to the governor’s desk for a signature.

Lugansk and Donetsk people vote to secede from Ukraine

MOSCOW, Russia (PNN) - May 13, 2014 - On Sunday, Lugansk and Donetsk voted. Regional referendums were held. Doing so reflected real democracy. Ordinary people spoke. They did so overwhelmingly. They did so near unanimously. They rejected Kiev fascists decisively. They were unequivocal. They left no doubt where they stand.

On Monday, Lugansk People's Governor Valery Bolotov went the extra mile. He declared what free people everywhere support. He proclaimed regional self-determination. He spoke for virtually all residents.

LUGANSK, Ukraine (PNN) - May 11, 2014 - The most significant geopolitical event of the day is the east Ukraine independence referendum taking place in various cities across the region, less than two months after the Crimean case study which saw the region split away from Ukraine and join Russia despite the fervent warnings by Kiev and the West that the result of the election would not be accepted by anyone. As it turned out then, it only needed to be accepted by Russia, which promptly took over the Black Sea territory.
