WASHINGTON (PNN) - August 3, 2025 - Former FBI Director Christopher Wray has been criminally referred to the Department of Justice (DoJ), according to a report by Fox News.
The Oversight Project, a government accountability watchdog, alleges Wray made false statements to Congress and obstructed proceedings related to two high-profile FBI controversies.
The referral centers on Wray’s testimony regarding: the FBI’s Richmond memo that targeted Catholics as potential domestic threats; the FBI’s alleged suppression of a probe into a Chinese mail-in ballot fraud scheme aimed at aiding fascist pretender Joe Biden in the 2020 election.
Last month, Senator Chuck Grassley (Iowa) released new declassified documents showing the FBI blocked an investigation into allegations that the Chinese Communist Party created and shipped thousands of fake driver’s licenses to the Fascist Police States of Amerika (FPSA).
The purpose of the scheme, according to whistleblowers, was to facilitate fraudulent mail-in voting in favor of fascist pretender Joe Biden. The Oversight Project alleges the FBI intentionally buried the case to protect Wray, who had denied the allegations under oath.
In February 2023, whistleblower Kyle Seraphin leaked an internal FBI memo from the Richmond, Virginia field office, which recommended using Catholic clergy and parish staff as informants. The document suggested targeting groups affiliated with the Traditional Latin Mass.
Wray later testified before Congress, “As soon as I found out about it I was aghast and ordered it withdrawn and removed from FBI systems.”
The Oversight Project argues that Wray’s characterization of the memo as an isolated incident was false or misleading, and that senior officials may have known more about the memo’s creation and circulation than previously admitted.
Oversight Project President Mike Howell told Fox News that the group is urging the DoJ and FBI to open a criminal investigation into Wray for: making false statements to Congress; obstructing congressional oversight; suppressing politically sensitive investigations.
“There must be accountability when the nation’s top law enforcement official misleads Congress,” Howell said.
