Have you ever experienced the anguish of dealing with a government official who just refuses to understand your specific situation, or a banker who will not help you with a particular problem you are having, or an educator who cannot see your point of view regarding the raising of your children? The frustrations that you have experienced are due to the fact that you are dealing with bureaucrats.

It hurts. It really hurts me deep inside, to entitle this article. It means that I have to admit, totally and with some finality, that the American Dream is dead.

Now don’t go all sappy or something because I’ve gone and said it. It’s not the end of the world. It’s just the truth.

Also, my admission does not mean that I am giving up the fight. I will never do that, nor will I ever give up hope. To the contrary, a free man or woman has a duty to fight to remain free; an unfree man or woman has a duty to fight to become free. Either way, when it comes to truth and freedom, I’ve plenty of fight left in me.

I once had occasion to view a segment of NBC’s The Tonight Show in which host Jay Leno walks around New York City asking ordinary people a series of simple and basic questions. I was stunned by the general lack of education of the respondents.

From people not knowing who was the first President of the United States or how many stars are on the American flag, to a black woman who had never seen a picture of former Secretary of State Colin Powell and who when asked if she knew the last name of this man whose first name is “Colin”, answered, “Cleanser”; it was astonishing to see and hear the level of ignorance to which the average American has sunk.

What is important to you? Is it your job or education? Maybe it’s that once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be a performing artist or professional musician? How about the current year’s crop yields? Or your investment portfolio? Could it be your family? Your children? What is really important to you? What is the most important person or thing to you, and what would you do to protect and defend that person or thing? What wouldn’t you do?

What have we wrought?

What have we allowed?

What have we done?

Our forefathers fought an unwinnable war against insurmountable forces, yet they carried with them a passion for liberty unprecedented in modern history, fueled by a conviction that their cause was just and that a Higher Power than the king would “raise up others to fight” (Patrick Henry) their righteous battles. Never mind that they had no chance against the better trained, better armed British troops… David defeated Goliath.

I am truly sick of people who say that the path of sovereignty "doesn't work".

Regardless of any particular faith, culture, race or class, I have found that the vast majority of people agree on one thing: the Word of God is, by definition, Truth.

If you are seeking a point of universal agreement from which to build a spiritually evolved society, one in which each individual is concerned not only for himself but also for the whole world, then this seems a good place to start.

What have we done to our country? What have we done to America? How did we ever let it get to be this way?

The government is totally out of control. Our representatives regularly pass “laws” to eradicate or violate the fundamental rights of all Americans, in the name of furthering precisely what? Socialism, communism, the idea that everyone is entitled to have a good life handed to him on a silver platter, and that the American people are somehow obligated to pay for it… that’s what.

There is a disease spreading throughout the world, which may already be of epidemic proportions. It is a cultural cancer and it originates in the United States.

Americans have had it drummed into their heads from very early in their lives, that the way of life promoted throughout the United States is the best in the world; that American culture is the greatest on earth. Our government, along with international corporate conglomerates and mainstream media, seeks to promote commercialistic principles as the object of a free society.
