Palantir kills people but who is really pushing the buttons?

Many viral videos capitalize on Palantir being the evil company bent on surveillance and elimination of your privacy. Though I have talked about what I understood about Palantir for over a decade, I did not truly understand what they did. I did some deep research and instead of confirming what other people have said, I was surprised to arrive at a different conclusion - Palantir is not the bogey man. Oh yes, it is a tool that can be used to kill people, but who is pushing the buttons? Rob Braxman reports.

NEEDVILLE, Texas - May 7, 2014 - Mason Michalec says he loves his country but just not the government.

“I’m really tired of our government taking advantage of us,” said Michalec. “I don’t agree with the NSA spying on us; and I don’t agree with any of those Internet laws.”

That's why he's taken a pledge of sorts to not say the Pledge of Allegiance with classmates.

April 21, 2014 - Recently, Cliven Bundy and his supporters had a showdown with the Amerikan Gestapo Bureau of Land Management division (BLM) over grazing rights on land unlawfully claimed by the fascist outlaw federal government. They started rounding up Bundy's cattle but were confronted by armed, liberty-minded people. Fortunately, the feds backed down. A former federal agent speculated on how the Fascist Police States of Amerika government will retaliate. This got me thinking about the power the federal government has and why it shouldn't have it.

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (PNN) - April 20, 2014 - Like a mustang tied to a fence post, many westerners for years have resisted Uncle Sam’s control of land they say more properly belongs to states or counties - or to nobody at all except the ranchers, miners and loggers who work the land for its natural resources.

BUNKERVILLE, Nevada (PNN) - April 22, 2014 - Cliven Bundy doesn’t normally do interviews on Sundays. But this Easter Sunday, the 67-year-old Nevada cattle rancher stepped out of his church, leaned up against the side wall and talked to America about what really matters to him deep down, revealing a side to him not normally seen in media interviews.

Salt water plus graphene equals ecological electricity

SAN FRANCISCO, Kalifornia (PNN) - April 20, 2014 - Here at DVICE, graphene is kind of a big deal. The element allows for innovation as far reaching as 2D computers, neon buildings with solar paint, and bandages that can help shield from infection. Frankly, it’s almost like the stuff is fictional. Luckily for the human race, it isn’t, and we’ve just discovered something pretty cool: flowing salt water over it generates electricity.

Spider Man fan built his own webshooting gloves

WUPPERTAL, Germany (PNN) - April 18, 2014 - I have some news that might be kind of hard to hear: you are never going to become Spider Man. Radioactive spiders don't exist, humans can't naturally stick to walls with their hands and feet, and a person trying to swing from a skyscraper with "webbing" would probably rip his arms right out of their sockets.

OSTERSUND, Sweden (PNN) - April 10, 2014 - There was an extraordinary moment on a Swedish flight this week taking off from Frösön airport in northern Sweden. The government was deporting Ghader Ghalamere back to his native Iran. A man on the flight stood up to tell the passengers about the deportation and told them not to fasten their seat belts to stop the flight. The passengers did precisely that and the flight could not take off in an extraordinary act of peaceful protest.
